THE END OF AN ERA – ICONIC HOLLYWOOD COSTUME RENTAL COMPANY CLOSES ITS DOORS

After nearly 50 years serving the Motion Picture Industry, CRC is closing its North Hollywood legacy costume house amid unprecedented industry changes. For the first time ever, its historic collection will be open to the public—featuring thousands of unique pieces of fashion, uniforms, military, and Hollywood history. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to own a piece of Hollywood’s story.

Terms of Sale – Highlights

 

The following highlights key sale terms and identifies sale specific terms, which are also detailed on the bidding sites. These, along with our General Terms & Conditions of Sale comprise the Complete Terms of Sale. To confirm your responsibilities as a buyer, please review the items below and view or download the General Terms & Conditions of Sale.  NOTE: Terms are subject to modifcation; please verify terms prior to bidding.  All references to Auctioneer encompass ThreeSixty Asset Advisors, Crescent Commercial Corporation (C3), its bidding platforms, agents and representatives. This sale is being managed by C3.

  • BIDDING: Bidding occurs per the increment table accessible on the bidding website. You may review the bid history on an item at any time. Note that if a high bid equal to your high bid is awarded to another bidder, this means they submitted a maximum bid for the same amount prior to your bid submittal. Items will close at a rate of 2 items per minute and bidding will extend when bids are received within the final 2 minutes of bidding. 
  • QUANTITIES: Please note that some lots may have multiple pieces. Note if the bid systems shows “x” the bid, then the bid price you submit will be multiplied by the unit.  Otherwise, and in many cases, your bid will be a lump sum for the entire lot, inclusive the entire quantity described.  Please review the specific lot offering to ensure proper bidding, as bids may not be retracted once submitted.
  • REPRESENTATIONS: We do our best to provide information that will help Buyers to make purchase decisions; however item description are offered as a guide. We do not guarantee descriptions or conditions. Further, neither Auctioneer nor Seller makes any representation, guarantee or warranty as to the provenance, authenticity or operability of any items offered for sale, or the conveyance of any third party rights, including but not limited to copyrights or licensure. Photographs occasionally capture items not intended; if an item is not stated in a lot description, assume it is not included. If you are uncertain about a lot, do not bid. Announcements made on auction day take precedence over published information. All Items are sold ‘As-Is, Where-Is’, with all faults and without recourse. Buyer assumes all risks, all sales are final and under no circumstances will any claims will be considered once purchases are removed from the sale site.
  • SHIPPING: Shipping is available by 3rd Party Services, but NOT provided by Sales Agent. SEE PICKUP/REMOVAL BELOW
  • PAYMENTS: All payments are due upon receipt of Invoice, which will be emailed within 24 hours of the auction. Acceptable payment methods will be posted on each bidding site and may vary on the two bidding sites being used for this auction, However all payments must be made prior to picking up your purchases.  No payments are accepted onsite.   The auction is being conducted in United States Dollars ($USD).

     

    • Payments on Day 1 – Live Auctioneers:  When you receive your invoice, you will find a Payment Option that includes Credit Card or ACH… Both are subject to convenience fees up to approximately 4% as determined by the payment system and paid to the processor.  You may also contact our office for wire instructions to avoid any convenience fees.  Note that payments not made within 72 hours of the auction will automatically be charged – including convenience fees – to your credit card on file with LiveAuctioneers. We do not accept payments onsite. Note that if you pay by ACH, you may not arrange for pickup of your items until the payment has cleared, estimated at 5-7 business days after payment is made.
    • Payments for Day 2 & 3:  Unless notified PRIOR to the close of the auction, all bills up to $5,000 (total including fees) will be processed on your credit card on file, including a 4% convenience fee.  For invoices in excess of $5,000 or if you notify us prior to the close of the auction, payment must be made by wire transfer (no convenience fees apply).  We will not accept ACH payments for Day 2 or 3… All payments are due by 5pm the day following the auction.    
    •  In the event an invoice remains unsettled after the payment deadline, we reserve all rights to pursue damages, including the right to charge the card on file for the outstanding amount or 25% as liquidated damages and/or pursue resell the items on the invoice.
  • BUYER’S PREMIUM:
    A 23% Buyer’s Premium will be added to the price of each lot for Auction 1

    An 18% Buyers’ Premium will be added to the price of each lot for Auction 2
  • SALES TAX:  Items are deemed as received in North Hollywood, and as such are subject to local sales tax of 9.75%. Buyers that are in the business of reselling their purchases, and provide a valid California Reseller’s permit entitling them to sell the items purhcased will qualify for resale exemption, at Auctioneers sole discretion. Out of state resale certificates are not accepted by the State of California for exemption.  Bidders paying through the Live.Payments (Live Auctioneers payment portal) will need to comply with Live.Payments requirements regarding sales tax, which may vary from the terms otherwise stated.
  • PICKUP/REMOVAL: Paid Buyers may pickup their purchases from the CRC warehouse at 11149 Vanowen St, North Hollywood, CA 91605, or make arrangements for items to be shipped using your own contracted Shipper (or for Auction 1, you will have the option to select and pay for LiveAuctioneers Shipping service – unless you are located outside of their service areas). Buyers must bring all materials, carts and manpower necessary to remove their purchases from where the items sit; we do not offer any loading or shipping services. Buyer is responsible for all costs and coordination regarding packaging, handling, shipping and insurance. You may use your own shipper or refer to our list of 3rd Party Shipping Referrals below.   • DEFAULT: Upon award of bid, Buyers are deemed responsible for a non-refundable 25% deposit. While Auctioneer may elect not to collect the deposit in good faith, in the event of a Buyer default, Buyer’s acceptance of these Terms of Sale, evidenced by their participation in the auction, shall serve as Buyer’s authorization for Auctioneer to pursue whatever means necessary to collect upon the 25% deposit as liquidated damages, including charging its credit card on file. In addition to the collection or retention of Buyer’s deposit, Auctioneer may report Buyer’s failure to perform on its obligations to the Bidding Platform’s system impacting Buyer’s future ability to participate in future auctions. 
  • OTHER: Auctioneer is acting as agent only and is not responsible for the acts or omissions of its client.  Auctioneer is not the shipper or exporter of any purchased items being shipped from the auction site. These terms and conditions together with any amendments or modifications expressly made by the Auctioneer at the time of the auction constitute all the terms and conditions with respect to the sale of the articles at this auction. There are no representations, warranties, terms, conditions, undertakings, or collateral agreements except as hereinabove provided.  Auctioneer reserves the right to add, combine, delete or sell lots prior to the sale.

For assistance with shipping or rigging, please see our list of unaffiliated, 3rd party shippers list below.  Buyers must bring all materials, carts and manpower necessary to remove their purchases from where the items sit; we do not offer any loading or shipping services.  NOTE: Individuals must sign an indemnification prior to removal; moving or shipping companies will need to provide a Certificate of Insurance.

3rd Party Shippers:  Below is a list of companies that can assist you with shipping. Please contact them directly for scheduling and pricing. These shipping company names are provided for your convenience and using one of these companies does not in any way alter your obligations for removal in accordance with the terms of sale.

Certificates of Insurance:  Buyers removing heavily installed assets will be required to provide a Certificate of Insurance naming ThreeSixty Asset Advisors, Crescent Commercial Corporation, Costume Rental Corporation as an additional insured.  See General Terms & Conditions of Sale for Insurance Requirements.  Certificates of Insurance may be brought onsite emailed to nlarosa@c3.com.
